Five protection words that are not the same
Read the exact wording instead of treating every badge as complete protection.
- Payment protection: rules for how a payment is handled or reviewed.
- Delivery confirmation: the point when a result is checked or accepted.
- Dispute window: the limited time available to report a stated problem.
- Refund eligibility: the conditions that may allow money or value to be returned.
- Account warranty: limited coverage for named account problems during a stated period.
Find when the time period starts and ends
A period may begin at payment, delivery, confirmation, code reveal, account handover, or another defined event. Check the exact start, length, time zone, and action required before it ends.
Check covered and excluded problems
Non-delivery, partial delivery, a wrong item, a used code, and later account recovery are different problems. A protection rule may cover one but exclude another. Also check whether changing account details, delaying a report, or moving communication affects review eligibility.
Marketplace protection and publisher action are separate
A marketplace process may review payment or delivery records. It cannot stop a publisher from applying account rules, reversing game value, restricting trading, or sanctioning an account.
No protection can promise every outcome
A warranty cannot guarantee permanent account ownership, prevent every sanction, or promise a refund regardless of evidence and current terms. Use current written rules, not a general safe or protected badge.
Beginner questions
Does buyer protection mean I will always receive a refund?
No. Eligibility can depend on the problem, timing, evidence, product state, and exact current terms.
Does an account warranty prevent the original owner from trying recovery?
No. A warranty may describe a review or remedy for named problems, but it cannot remove every recovery route or guarantee permanent ownership.
